Established in 1934, The West Seattle Sportsmen’s Club is a longstanding institution serving Seattle and surrounding communities. We are sponsors of The Roger Dahl Shooting Range, an eight position, 50′ indoor small bore and air range that is conveniently located under the West Seattle Stadium near the West Seattle Golf Course. We offer a variety of competitive Olympic Style shooting leagues and matches, an excellent Junior Shooting Program, and Hunter/Firearms Safety Education. Throughout the year we host various community events such as free beginner classes and an open house.
Our West Seattle Sportsmen’s Club Junior Shooting Team is a source of pride at WSSC. They compete at local, regional and national levels. With the help of top notch shooting coaches, members have proven their abilities nation-wide. A number of our athletes have gone on to earn college scholarships competing at universities.
Safety is our highest priority as we promote responsible gun ownership and shooting sports. Our NRA trained and certified Range Masters are always onsite to ensure firearms are handled safely and to instruct those that are new to competitive shooting sports. We also maintain a clean range with state-of-the-art air filtration, lead mitigation policies, and cleaning procedures.
