NRA Basic Range Safety Officer (RSO) course, January 6^th, 2018, at Roger Dahl Memorial Range.

The Basic RSO course prepares candidates with the Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude that are fundamental to preparing, conducting, and overseeing safe activities at a shooting range.

The NRA has developed the RSO course and certification to meet the American public’s need for safe, standardized range procedures.  Successful candidates will be well grounded in the basic duties of an RSO, including the role of the RSO, range standard operating procedures (SOP’s), range safety briefings, range inspections and rules, emergency procedures, and malfunction/stoppage procedures.

The successful RSO should plan on regular practice/participation in range events in order to build confidence and skills.

Prerequisites and instructions:  There are NO prerequisites for this course.  This is an intensive, all-day event. Plan on being with us from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.  More course information is available at the following link:  http://www.nrainstructors.org/Search.aspx
